Tempo is a one-person business, on purpose
Tempo Book It is built and run by Gareth, a UK developer trading as Tempo Book It. It started as the booking system for SJP Theatre Arts, a dance and theatre school that needed terms, families, registers and credit to work the way clubs actually run, and it has been in production there since 2026.
That matters day to day: the person who wrote the code reads the support emails, and every feature was tested against real parents, real coaches and real Tuesday-evening chaos before it shipped.
No investors, no per-booking cut, no plans to become a platform. Your site, your brand, your money.
How Tempo happened
From a Tuesday-night spreadsheet to a plugin
No pivot story, no funding rounds. Just a school that needed bookings to work and a developer in the building.

The Tuesday-night spreadsheet
SJP Theatre Arts ran bookings on paper forms, bank transfers and a spreadsheet that only balanced at midnight. Gareth was the developer in the building who offered to help.

Built around one real school
Terms with half-term breaks, family accounts, phone registers, credit instead of refunds: every feature was shaped by real parents, real coaches and real club nights before it shipped.

2026 · In production at SJP
The school's whole booking flow moved online: classes, packages, payments and registers. The plugin took its own name, Tempo Book It.

Today · One plugin, any club
On sale at tempo-book-it.com for dance schools, football clubs, dojos, gyms and swim schools. Same rule as day one: nothing ships until it survives a real term.
