A session shows over capacity
Confirmed bookings exceed the session's capacity after a capacity change.
Symptom: a session shows more confirmed bookings than places.
Usual cause: capacity was reduced (on the timetable entry or as a per-session override), or spaces were blocked, after those places had already been booked.
This is deliberate. Tempo never removes a member's booking automatically; deciding who moves when a room shrinks is a human decision. The session is simply marked over capacity so it can't be missed, and no further online bookings are taken for it.
Fix: bring the count and the capacity back in line, whichever way is true to life:
- If the reduction was a mistake, raise the capacity (or unblock the spaces) on the session or timetable entry, and the flag clears.
- If the smaller capacity is real, open the session's booking list from the Bookings hub capacity view and transfer bookings to another session or class, or cancel with credit, until the count fits. Both flows preview what members are told before anything sends.
Nothing about the over-capacity state harms the register or reports in the meantime; it's a flag, not a fault.
