Check-in on the door

Show night: scanning QR codes with any phone, the Door screen, the party pass for groups, and the door role that lets stewards check people in without seeing anything else.

There is no app to install. Stewards check people in from the phone in their pocket.

Before the show

Give each steward a WordPress account with the Tempo door role. Someone with this role sees the Door screen and nothing else: no orders, no prices, no buyer emails.
Make sure the phones they will use can log in to your site. A quick test scan in the afternoon saves a queue at 7pm.

Scanning a ticket

Every PDF ticket carries a QR code. A steward points the phone camera at it and the booking opens on the Door screen, ready to mark in. One tap confirms it.

Group bookings come with a single party pass as well as individual tickets. Scanning the party pass checks the whole group in at once.

Someone without a ticket

The Door screen has a searchable list of everyone booked on tonight's performance. Search by name, find them, mark them in. If you need more detail, the office can also check people in from the order itself.

Undo

Marked the wrong person? Tap undo on the Door screen. Check-ins are not final until the show is over.

When the venue has no signal

The Door screen needs a connection to your site. If your venue has poor signal, get stewards onto the venue Wi-Fi before doors open. Box Office Pro includes a continuous scanner that keeps working offline and syncs when the connection comes back.
