Orders, refunds and cancellations
Find an order, resend tickets, refund in a click, check people in from the order itself, and what happens when you cancel a whole performance.
Every purchase creates an order. The Orders screen is where you go for anything that happens after a sale.
Finding an order
Search for the buyer and open the order. It shows the performance, the seats or quantity, the ticket types, what was paid and how, and whether anyone on it has been checked in.
Resending tickets
If a buyer cannot find their email, open the order and resend it. The same PDF tickets and QR codes go out again; nothing changes on the order.
Refunds
Refund from the order in one click. The money goes back through the same provider it came in on (Stripe or PayPal), the seats are released for resale, and the buyer is emailed.
Checking in from the order
If someone arrives without their ticket, find their order and mark them in from there. It does the same thing as scanning the QR code on the door.
Cancelling a performance
If a show is cancelled, cancel the performance rather than refunding orders one by one. Every buyer on that performance is refunded and emailed automatically, and the performance is taken off sale.
Reports
The Reports screen shows revenue, tickets sold and capacity for each performance. It is enough to answer "how did we do?" without a spreadsheet. CSV export and deeper reporting are part of Box Office Pro.
Your data if you uninstall
Nothing is deleted when you deactivate or uninstall unless you opt in. Your events, orders and attendees stay in the database so you can come back or export them. Buyer data works with the WordPress privacy tools (Export Personal Data and Erase Personal Data under Tools) for data requests.
