What is Box Office Pro?

Tempo Book It Box Office Pro is a paid add-on for the free Tempo Book It Box Office plugin. It adds the parts of show night that the free plugin leaves out. It does not replace the free plugin, and it takes nothing away from it: deactivate Pro and every free feature keeps working, with your venues, events and orders untouched.

What it adds

• The seat map designer. The free plugin builds straight rows on a grid. Pro gives you a canvas: curved rows, round tables, stage shapes and text labels, dragged into place, with a colour for every price band. See The seat map designer.
• The phone scanner. A full-screen scanner that runs in the browser on any phone and never stops: green for in, amber for already scanned, red for the wrong night. It keeps working when the foyer Wi-Fi does not. See The phone scanner.
• The box office till. Walk-up and phone sales from wp-admin: pick the seats on the same map buyers use, take cash, a card terminal, a Stripe Terminal card reader or issue a complimentary ticket, then print or email the tickets. See The box office till.
• Promo codes. Percentage or fixed amount, limited to certain events or performances, with a date window, a use cap and a minimum ticket count. See Promo codes.
• Spike mode. A fair queue for the morning everyone arrives at once, with an admission rate that tunes itself to your hosting. See Spike mode.

What it costs

£59.99 a year, or £5.99 a month, for one site, before VAT. Billing is through Freemius, who add VAT at checkout where it applies and can bill in USD or EUR. There is no trial, but there is a 14-day money-back guarantee: buy it, try it on your own site, and if it is not right ask for a refund.

As with the free plugin, there is no booking fee to your buyers and no cut of your sales.

What it needs

Pro needs the free Tempo Book It Box Office plugin, version 1.1.3 or newer, installed and active on the same site. Your venues, events, orders and settings are shared between the two: Pro adds screens and settings to the menu the free plugin already has.
