Settings reference, screen by screen
Every tab under Tempo → Settings, what it controls, and where it's documented in depth.
The map of Tempo → Settings, tab by tab. Most tabs have a full article of their own; this reference is for "where does that setting live again?".
Your site may use different words. Tempo lets you rename class, student and teacher under Settings → Branding & vocabulary; these docs use the defaults.
General
The Book classes page, Register page and Need help page assignments: which pages hold the member-facing flows. Tempo sets these at install and adopts rebuilt pages sensibly; the dropdowns are for telling it explicitly. See Creating your booking and register pages and The Need help page.
Booking & checkout
- Temporary reservation period (default 30 minutes): how long checkout holds places (holds and the countdown).
- Cancellation deadline (default 2 hours): the member self-cancel cut-off, per-class overrides on the timetable (member cancellations).
- Incomplete Student Profiles can book (off by default): relaxes the profile-completeness gate (parent can't book).
- Checkout layout: panel-main, mirrored, or Minimal (checkout layouts).
- Encourage credit use (off by default): auto-applies available credit at checkout (how credit works).
- Complete paid orders automatically (off by default): gateway-paid booking orders land on Completed instead of parking at Processing (how bookings become orders).
Package pricing
Fixed package prices and minimum sessions for a package offer: how late joiners are charged, and the smallest remainder still sold as a package. Both explained in Price overrides and package modes.
Timetable
Your defined lists: Locations, Class types (with badge colours) and Class durations. These feed the timetable entry form (building the timetable, durations).
Also here: your working week, the days and hours your business operates, which decides what the calendar displays (days outside it disappear from the month view, and the week and day views run only across your working hours).
And the Public timetable feed switch (off by default), which publishes the current term's timetable at a web address another site can display. See Publishing your timetable on another website.
Branding & vocabulary
The identity screen: name, type, logo, colours, class image/dot toggles, and the vocabulary itself. Its own article: Branding & vocabulary.
My Account
- Account layout: Tempo's tabs, or stick to your theme's own account menu.
- Menu items checklist: hide WooCommerce account entries you don't use.
- Photo permission site switch: whether your club asks at all (photo consent).
- The password re-ask window for the Student profile tab.
See The My Account area.
First time accounts
The two first-login wizard questions, individually toggleable: the parent-or-student conversion question and photo permission. Switching one off defers it; nobody is silently marked as done. See The first-login wizard.
Help page
Everything member-facing on the Need help page: the office email (falls back to your first staff recipient, then the admin email), the support email (empty hides the technical form), the response-time note, the vendor attribution, and the two editable lists of common questions and try-these-first fixes, with a restore-the-standard-content tick. All the text accepts the vocabulary tokens.
Registers & staff
Protected profile window (default 5 minutes): how long one teacher PIN unlock lasts (protected profiles).
Notifications
Your contact details (email footers), the staff recipient list and the per-recipient category matrix, plus the reminder interval (default 24 hours) and credit-expiry reminder lead (default 30 days). Also here: Send profiles to, the address that receives emailed student profiles from the directory; the email action refuses until it's set. See Staff notifications and Member emails.
Matching theme
Install, activate and update the companion theme; site administrators only. See Installing the matching theme.
Data & danger zone
Website-administrator only: Remove data on uninstall (off by default) and Erase all plugin data. Read The danger zone before touching either.
Everything here is stored as ordinary settings, so nothing on any tab is precious: you can change your mind about any of it later without reinstalling or losing data. The only screens with real teeth are under Data & danger zone, which is why they live behind a separate warning-red tab and an extra permission level.
